Paralyzed Veterans group to host fundraising golf tournament on Sept. 15

The Bay Area and Western Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (BAWPVA) is hosting its annual golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 15th that will help support wheelchair athletes in adaptive sports programs as well as help fund research in finding a cure for paralysis.

The event features a noon shotgun start at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco and individual golfers can enter for as little as $235.  Following the golfing, there will be dinner along with raffle prizes and a silent and live auction. In addition to the Sports & Recreation and Research programs, the BAWPVA’s programs include Advocacy & Legislation, Hospital Liaison, Benefits Services, Publications, as well as many other services to help paralyzed veterans.
