Sonoma County support group to host quadriplegic adaptive sports consultant

At their Monday, Sept. 18th meeting, the Sonoma County spinal cord injury support group will host Gina Biter Mundt who is an adaptive sports consultant at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center.

Gina is a quadriplegic since the age of 14 as a result of an accident but despite her disability, she went on to teach adaptive physical education at Napa Valley College between 1987-2007 where she developed her mission of preparing people with disabilities for their post-rehab lives.

In her current position, she provides information and education on a number of topics including community resources (adaptive sports and recreation programs), spinal cord injury education, and emergency preparedness. Gina will share some of her personal (and professional) experiences with SCI.
