NorCal SCI hits the road to San Luis Obispo and Placerville

NorCal SCI co-founder, Nick Struthers, is very excited to visit San Luis Obispo's Access Support Group on Wed., Jan. 17th followed by a meeting with the Placerville Mobility Support Group on Mon., Jan. 22nd.  This is part of NorCal SCI's mission to support and collaborate with the various support groups in Northern California.

We recently learned about the San Luis Obispo group that meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 5-7 p.m. at the Graduate Restaurant, 990 Industrial Way, San Luis Obispo.  The group is led by Mae MacDonald who can be reached by phone at (805) 594-1164 or e-mail at mary.macdonald@att.net.

The Placerville group has been led by Lynn Murray who had a spinal cord injury as a result of a fall in 2004.  The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Round Table Pizza, Safeway Shopping Ctr, 3975 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville.

NorCal SCI is looking forward to meeting with both groups and better understand the great work and service they're providing their communities.  Nick will provide updates about his meetings over the next two weeks.
