Saw these at the San Mateo Abilities Expo

If you’ve been attending the annual Abilities Expo, you know that you’ll see the vast majority of the same exhibitors year in, year out. But every year, you can expect to come across some new ones that would make you stop and check them out. This year was no exception and we want to share a few of the more interesting ones with you.

GRAVITY BALL - This is a grip-free resistance exercise ball which uses high strength adjustable velcro straps for a grip-free exercise. It comes in different weights and allows both hand and foot exercises as well as multiple stretches.

UVEST COMPRESSION VESTS - The Uvest comes with 10 strategically placed handles and a low back compression belt for increased stability and support. It is also helpful for caregivers who have to physically move or lift a person with minimal mobility.

EYEFLITE - EyeFlite is a startup building a hands-free communication and digital content delivery platform for virtual and augmented reality to empower people with movement disabilities with more independence and control. With either head or eye tracking, a user can type on various virtual keyboards, respond to emails and texts, browse the internet, and control various smart devices.

ACCIDENTALLY ACCESSIBLE - A cool web site featuring accessible daily living, lifestyle, furniture, adventure, leisure, health, beauty, fashion, sports, recreation and personal products.

And don’t forget. The Abilities Expo is returning to San Mateo in 2019 from Oct. 25-27.
