NorCal SCI significantly enhances its online employer-match program

NorCal SCI is happy to announce that it has now been approved and registered as an approved non-profit foundation by Benevity, the global leader in online workplace giving, matching, volunteering and integrated grant management solutions.  Additionally, NorCal SCI received the 2018 Bronze Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, another organization that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving.

These recognition not only mean that NorCal SCI can now begin receiving directly funding from companies offering employer matches to their employees but that donors can trust our foundation's financial investments into the programs we've developed for the SCI community in Northern California.

Just what is an employer match?  It is a benefit that more and more companies offer their employees in order to encourage philanthropic and volunteering within their workforce.  Often times, employers match up to a limit, dollar for dollar, whatever financial contributions their employees make to qualified non-profit organizations.  Benevity, as a recognized leader in processing of such programs and payments, provided NorCal SCI with its approval which now ensures funds can be allocated directly to us.

We ask our community that believes in our Mission and Vision to consider making a financial contribution to help us achieve our 2018 Goals & Objectives.  Please contact your company's HR/Benefits department and ask them if they offer an Employer Match program.  If so, please designate "NorCal Spinal Cord Injury Foundation" as the beneficiary of the match.
