SVILC offers May 11 Emergency & Disaster Preparedness Workshop

Not that we need any reminders here in Northern California about earthquakes but the last few weeks, we've seen some small ones take place which makes the May 11th Emergency & Disaster Preparedness offered by the Silicon Valley Independent Living Center (SVILC) very timely.

The free workshop gives you the tools, resources, templates and a free kit to get you started on being able to shelter in place or be ready to leave your home temporarily after an earthquake or other emergency.  It is designed with persons with a disability in mind.  This workshop is held at 1:30 p.m. at SVILC's office located at 25 N. 14th Street, Suite 1000, San Jose.  But you must register by calling (408) 894-9041.
