Berkeley CIL's April 14 Momentum Expo to feature transportation & mobility theme

Our friends at the Berkeley-based Center for Independent Living (CIL) are pulling out all the stops to make sure their first-ever Momentum Expo this Sat., April 14th will feature everything for everyone interested in transportation and mobility topics and by what their schedule of exhibitors and program tracks looks like, they are way ahead in accomplishing that goal.

The Expo will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ed Roberts Campus, 3075 Adeline Street in Berkeley and NorCal SCI is grateful to the CIL for inviting us to be there, so come by and visit us.  Workshops, technology demos, displays and guest speakers will showcase the possibilities of assistive technologies to enhance mobility and overall independence for folks with varying physical needs. Attendants can expect to hear inspirational stories from mobility trail blazers and leaders of industry in transportation, accessibility and community resources.

Momentum’s diverse, all-day agenda will feature hands-on workshops and displays where participants can touch, see, hear and learn about innovative mobility devices and technology designed right here in the Bay Area.  There will be plenty of fun, relaxing activities for youth and family members to engage in as well. Participants can enjoy complimentary sitting yoga, tai chi classes and wheelchair basketball.

The event is free and so is registration at this LINK.
