As we have reported in the past, a group of organizations, including NorCal SCI, have been working for the past six months to hold the first-ever event in Santa Clara County that focuses on making water-based recreational activities accessible to individuals with disabilities.  Participants can get out on the lake in either kayaks or outrigger canoes that are accessible.  Demonstrations of accessible sail boats will also take place.  Lots of volunteers will be on hand to make everyone's experience an enjoyable one.

The free event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. but space is limited and you must be registered to participate in any of the water activities.  You may register HERE before May 29th but don't wait.

Day on the Lake will be held at the Boat Center area to the west of the park which is located at 333 Blossom Hill Road in Los Gatos.  There will be family fun, music and free lunch as well as non-profit and partner organizations offering free information and resources.  For additional information, call (408) 885-2397.
