Ms. Wheelchair California vacates title, Krystina Jackson the new title holder
We don't see things like this happen often but in an unexpected move last week, the 2018 winner of the Ms. Wheelchair California, Dr. Michelle Hernandez, stepped down from the title, paving the way for runner-up, Krystina Jackson, to assume the title.
The Ms. Wheelchair California Leadership Institute, the organizers of the event, posted a Facebook message that was short on details, saying that "We’re sorry to see Dr. Hernandez go, but we’re also looking forward to seeing her continuing her amazing advocacy work."
With this shake-up, San Mateo resident, Ms. Ligia Zuniga, now becomes the first runner-up. The event was originally held on March 10th.
