Shared Adventures hosting Day on the Beach in Santa Cruz on July 14

Though they're now only accepting registration for a waiting list, the folks at Shared Adventures are still advising you to head over to Cowell's Beach in Santa Cruz on Sat., July 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to be part of the largest event of its kind on the West Coast that allows individuals with special needs or physical disabilities enjoy water-based activities such as kayaking, outrigger canoeing, scuba diving and riding on beach wheelchairs.

The annual event usually sees over 300 individuals take part in the various activities as well as over 400 family members and about 250 volunteers that make sure every participant has a great time.  There is free food and live entertainment that will keep everyone in a festive mood as well as other activities such as sandcastle building and more.

THIS PAGE allows you to sign up for the waiting list for the water activities as well as get you in to the beach party (no waiting list for that event) and provide directions to the site of the event.
