Spinal Tap Sept. 29 fundraiser aims to help those with SCI

Four years removed from his own spinal cord injury, Lane Edwards has embarked upon a new phase in his recovery and this time, it doesn't have anything to do with him.  The C-4 quadriplegic, a Sacramento area resident, will host a fundraising event, Spinal Tap, on Sat., Sept. 29th in Carmichael to raise money for others in need of physical therapy they cannot afford.

Lane has had experience doing a number of fundraising events for himself over the past few years and after seeing the positive results he experienced from extended therapy, he was convinced that others can benefit if they had assistance meeting the financial requirements.

Through his non-profit foundation, In the Neck of Time, this will mark their inaugural beer and wine tasting event which will also feature a variety of food trucks, silent auction, KidsZone, souvenir bracelet, souvenir mood cup, event T-shirt and live music.  The event will be held at Mission Oaks Community Center, 4701 Gibbons Dr. in Carmichael.
