SCI cure: desperate search has given birth to huge market of stem cell clinics

With stem cell therapy not yet available in the U.S., these countries are the primary providers of such therapies, including for those with a spinal cord injury.  However, in almost all the cases, the therapies have not been tested rigorously, are not regulated, no recognized medical board has supported the use or proven effectiveness of such therapies and they are super expensive that can only be paid for in cash.  Yet, time after time, we hear about individuals risking it all in search of potential relief and/or cure for their spinal cord injury. 

But, just when you thought this practice was limited mainly to other countries, it was discovered that a whopping 570 clinics are also offering some form of stem cell therapy right here in the U.S., with the vast majority in California and Florida.
