Adaptive climbing event in Yosemite seeks participants with disabilities

The Yosemite Veterans Climbing Program is a free outdoor adventure taking place Sept. 9-12 at Yosemite National Park and they are seeking veterans and civilians with all experience levels and abilities to take part in this free climbing event, now in its sixth year.  Whether you've climbed before, this trip will get you out on the rock and high above the valley floor.

Sponsored by Paradox Sports, Yosemite National Park and Sierra Mountain Guides, all the food, liability insurance, lodging and adaptive climbing equipment will be provided for free.  The events of September 11, 2001 will also be commemorated during this activity.  Currently, there are no limitations on the type of disability and, space permitting, participants may bring family or helpers, too.  They've even secured an EMT for the duration of the event.
