San Jose celebrates 11th Annual Disability Awareness Day on Oct. 4

The city of San Jose’s 11th Annual Disability Awareness Day will take place on Thurs., Oct. 4th with a number of activities, booths from service providers, art displays and demos, live music and food trucks to help celebrate diversity, awareness and empowerment for persons with differing abilities.

New for this year is the ReelAbilities Film Festival which will feature two short films centered on varying disabilities in the community. The films will be shown at the Hammer Theatre located at 101 Paseo de San Antonio (at Second Street) in San Jose. The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at San José City Hall Rotunda & Plaza, 200 E. Santa Clara Street, San José.
