AXIS Dance Company offers Yoga For Everybody

axis.jpg

AXIS Dance Company will be offering 90-minute drop-in yoga classes for individuals of all abilities on Feb. 14, 21 and March 21, led by JoAnn Lyons who has been sharing her love of yoga in classes for people with disabilities and chronic conditions in the Bay Area for over 20 years.

You'll find a yoga practice helps your body and mind work better together by using the breath and movement, creating balance and a sense of calmness. And, besides, it can be fun and challenging to find your own way into and out of each pose. JoAnn’s teaching is grounded in her observation and knowledge of the body and intuitive awareness of both the needs and potential of her students.

Cost for each class is $12 and they’ll be held at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts, 1428 Alice Street, Studio E (Third Floor) in Oakland. You may purchase passes for classes HERE.
