BORP's brain/body fitness class to continue through March 15

We were happy to learn that Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) is extending its Brain/Body Fitness Class, a seated, non-impact class about brain/body circulation and physical habits around alignment and balance, to be offered on March 1, 8 and 15 from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

The class promotes circulation through hand/eye coordination, proper posturing, nerve stimulation, deep breathing, stretching, isolations, strength conditioning, and QiGong. Beyond the physical benefits, this class improves mood through engagement and uplifting music. The class is held at the BORP Fitness Studio located at the Ed Roberts Campus, 3075 Adeline, suite 150, Berkeley. Cost is $11 per class, seniors 55 and older & veterans, $8 per class. If you are a person with a spinal cord injury, inquire about the Neilsen Pass, a subsidized pass specifically for people with SCI. Sign up & learn about the Neilsen pass by contacting ariel@borp.org

The instructor, Dianna Rowley, has been a professional Dancer and Fitness Trainer for over 20 years and developed this class as a personal ritual during her Spinal Cord Injury recovery..
