Disability & Aging Capitol Action Day set for May 23 in Sacramento
2019 marks the 15th anniversary of Disability Capitol Action Day and the Disability Action Coalition is partnering with the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA) to co-host the first Disability and Aging Capitol Action Day on Thurs., May 23 in Sacramento.
Disability and Aging Capitol Action Day will be a day-long event mobilizing California’s aging and disability communities filled with opportunities to build community, learn about and share resources, educate our policy makers and elevate the collective power of older adults and people with disabilities.
A resource fair featuring over 40 vendors, educational rally at Cesar Chavez Plaza, a march from Cesar Chavez Plaza to south steps of State Capitol and finally, the ever-important Legislative Visits are among the activities planned for this day. A free lunch is also provided but you must register today to participate in this special day.
