NorCal SCI surpasses $100,000 in donations of durable medical equipment in 2019

This past weekend, upon awarding of a new $2,500 standing frame to Jesse in Fresno, NorCal SCI exceeded $100,000 worth of durable medical equipment it has given back to the SCI community that we’ve been collecting from generous donors for the first eight months of this year. Since he was released from rehab late in 2018, following a motorcycle accident that left him a paraplegic, Jesse has been looking for a standing frame given that his insurance wouldn’t cover it and we’re grateful to Gayle for letting us have her donation and put it to good use.

Gayle wrote to us last week I found your site when looking for a way to donate some durable medical equipment that my disabled husband had. I can't believe how difficult it is to get this kind of equipment to someone in need.” Thankfully, she did a search on the web and found out about us. As we have reported before, there are very few organizations that take in durable medical equipment and give it to those in need for free.

We feel it is a good investment of renting a large storage space (which is practically full of equipment) to find good homes for some incredible equipment that would benefit someone in need. If you have any equipment in very good condition you’d like to donate, or if you’re looking for certain equipment, please check out our DONATED EQUIPMENT LIST.
