Before the end of 2019, we managed to interview and award three Road To Recovery grants worth $6,000, bringing the total for the year to an incredible $60,000. We awarded $30,000 in 2018 but thanks to strong support from our donors, we were able to make a commitment to award $60,000 in 2019. We’re proud of our three recipients: George Rodriquez, Sacramento; Francesca Rasella, San Pablo; Jorge Macias, Pittsburg.

Road To Recovery is our biggest program in terms of expenditure and aims to support those without financial means or insurance coverage with grants of up to $2,000 to pursue additional therapies, acquire durable medical equipment not covered by insurance, or for minor home modifications. We know the demand for these types of grants is significant as we sadly had to turn away a number of applicants as they did not meet our eligibility requirements.

Our goal for 2020 is to replicate the amount to be awarded based on our success with fundraising. You can learn more about this program and apply HERE.
