UC Berkeley project seeks input on how to improve cooking for wheelchair users

A group of mechanical engineering students at UC Berkeley have launched a project that seeks to improve the experience of cooking for wheelchair users and guess what? They need some wheelchair using members of the spinal cord injury community to interview via a Zoom or a phone call in order to better understand what tasks you typically find more difficult while cooking.

Based on the feedback the group receives, they will finalize a product to design and build and follow up with the interviewees for their feedback. Ultimately, the group’s goal is to develop a product that helps improve the experience of cooking. If you’re interested, please contact group project leader Miyuki Weldon at m.weldon@berkeley.edu
