Going to college, either for the first time or returning, and potentially living away from home for the first time, is difficult for everyone but may also present additional challenges for those with physical disabilities. There are many factors to consider for wheelchair users in particular and so, to help maneuver this landscape, the folks at Backbones are hosting an online chat forum on Wed., Feb. 19th to share ideas and best practices to help you have a successful outcome.

You can expect to learn tips that work for wheelchair users, such as how to secure academic support and finding accessible housing on campus. The forum is held from 5-6 p.m. PST and you can register for it HERE.

In California, the Department of Rehab offers a lot of financial support that you can qualify as a person with a disability. You can learn more about those services HERE.
