SEARCH FOR SCI CURE: Plexin B2 may play key role in neural repair

CURE.jpeg

Recently, researchers discovered an axon guidance protein known as Plexin B2 in the central nervous system (CNS) that plays a significant role in the healing of the wound and neural repair following a spinal cord injury. The experiment was designed and conducted by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and could help the development of the treatments or therapies which target axon guidance pathways for treating the patients of SCI more effectively.

There are no clinical trials planned or scheduled as of now as more studies are needed to understand the relation of Plexin B2 to neural repair. You can read more abut this research HERE.
