Eat Well, Live Well with SCI: May 28 virtual presentation to address Nutrition & SCI

NorCal SCI is pleased to host the authors of “Live Well, Eat Well with Spinal Cord Injury”, Certified Nutrition Practitioners Joanne Smith and Kylie James, as part of a Thurs., May 28th virtual presentation to address a variety of topics that affect the SCI community through nutrition. The SCI population is very susceptible to gaining weight and you can bet that subject will be covered as well as the relationship between increased weight and decreased immune function.

The presentation will begin at 5:15 PDT and end at 6:30 p.m. PDT, with our speakers also taking your questions upon the conclusion of their presentation. Kylie is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner having graduated with first class honours from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, Canada. She also runs a nutrition business specializing in neurological conditions, mental health, weight management and digestive issues. Joanne is also a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and also runs a nutrition business specializing in providing optimal nutritional health for people with disabilities, with special interest in SCI. She is also a paraplegic due to a spinal cord injury.
