Call bladder management following a spinal cord injury a top three challenge for many members of the SCI community. On Thurs., Oct. 29th at 5 p.m. PT, we’re pleased to bring you one of the brightest and most experienced urologists working with the SCI population, Dr. Christopher Elliott, who will lead a virtual presentation around bladder management. Among the topics to be addressed are UTIs, medical and surgical interventions especially for leaky bladders, and overall review of steps to better care for your bladder. You can register for this event HERE.

This free virtual presentation is part of “NorCal SCI Presents: Virtual is the New Reality Series” funded through a grant by the Reeve Foundation and you must register in advance to attend. Once you register, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail from us which you should keep for access information to the virtual event.

Dr. Elliott graduated from Ohio State University, receiving both an MD as well as a PhD in epidemiology. He completed his urologic residency at Stanford University Medical Center in 2010.  He has clinical and surgical expertise in the management of female pelvic organ prolapse, complex urogynecologic anomalies, overactive bladder, BPH, voiding dysfunction secondary to neurologic disease and both male and female incontinence.

Starting in 2012, Dr. Elliott joined the Division of Urology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, with a joint appointment at Stanford University Medical Center.  His main academic interests include the epidemiologic study of pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence and bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury.
