Setting up a home gym for less than $50? Yup, learn more at Oct. 22 virtual event
With gym closures and therapy centers operating at a low capacity, it’s become more important than ever to have space and equipment in your home to help you stretch and move your body every day. Setting up a home program is a critical piece in maintaining health and increasing function. However, it can be challenging to figure out how to make the most out of your budget and the space available in your home but not if you attend the "Setting up your home gym for less than $50: versatile pieces and how to use them” virtual presentation on Thurs., Oct. 22nd at 5:30 p.m. PT which you can register for HERE.
In this presentation, Pilates teacher. Stephanie Comella, will show you how you can equip your space with four small, yet versatile, must-have home gym pieces, all for less than $50! The equipment discussed in this presentation will not be traditional SCI rehab equipment, such as standing frames and FES bikes. Stephanie will share her favorite small props she encourages all her students to invest in for their “in-between” session homework. She will demonstrate several ways to use them and how to incorporate them into your home program for a well-rounded movement routine.
This free virtual presentation is part of “NorCal SCI Presents: Virtual is the New Reality Series” funded through a grant by the Reeve Foundation and you must register in advance to attend. Once you register, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail from us which you should keep for access information to the virtual event.
Stephanie has been working with SCI athletes for almost 10 years, using various movement modalities in her tenure. She has been working with the Pilates method for the last five years and has found this method resonates best with her students’ unique physical and emotional challenges after SCI.
