Berkeley-based BORP is kicking off Birdability week (Oct 18-24), a celebration of birders with disabilities and other health concerns, with a virtual Bird Sit class on Tues., Oct. 19th at 2 p.m. PST. We know you’re wondering what exactly is a Bird Sit. Well, it is a mindfulness meditation with a focus on birds, a simple, yet highly effective approach and no equipment is needed. Experience calm and joy with this 20-minute Bird Sit class led by Judith Smith, a long-time birder and certified California Naturalist. You can join the class from outdoors or near an open window or door although this is not required. You must pre-register HERE.

For more information, registration assistance, or to request an access accommodation contact Bonnie@borp.org, or at (510) 524-2026. This free class is made possible by a grant from the Clif Bar Family Foundation.
