Talented 9-year-old artist with SCI contributes illustrations to newly-published children's book
We’re thrilled to give a shout out to 9-year-old Roseville resident, Emma Whaley, who experienced a spinal cord injury as a result of a car accident in 2019 and has now developed into quite an accomplished artist, most recently contributing her talents with illustrations used in a new children’s book, The Trees, authored by Georgia Lininger. When powers beyond her control force a little seed to leave her beloved home, Asha the pine tree must embark on an incredible adventure to find the right place where she can set down her roots. Join little Asha as she searches far and wide across a vast and changing world. With courage, hope and love, Asha overcomes many adversities along the way.
The book, available now for $19.99 with free shipping, can be ordered HERE. Most recently, Emma’s “The Hard Journey” collage of beads was featured at the Palo Alto Art Center as part of its "The Art of Disability Culture” exhibition.
