NorCal SCI to distribute "Ready to Roll" Emergency Preparedness kits

United Spinal Association (USA) has launched an emergency preparedness initiative, Ready to Roll, that seeks to assist in preserving the health and safety of individuals with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D) in times of uncertainty and upheaval due to natural or human-caused disasters. As part of this program, NorCal SCI has received 20 Emergency Preparedness Kits from USA specifically for distribution to USA members residing in Northern California.

Each kit includes the following items:

First Aid Guide
Whistle
Foil Mylar Rescue Blanker
Emergency Plastic Poncho
Assorted Zip Lock Bags
Zip Ties
Drinking Straws
Cloth Mask
Mini Pen Knife
7 Day Medication Storage
Water Proof Credit Card / ID Card Holder
Sanitary Wipes
… All in a United Spinal Shoulder Bag

If you have a spinal cord injury and would like to receive one, please email us at info@norcalsci.org with Ready to Roll in the subject line. State your full name, shipping address and phone number and we’ll get one out to you.

If you have not become a member of USA yet, don’t worry, you can sign up HERE for free and then email us requesting a kit. All requests are processed on a first come first served basis.
