When an individual experiences a spinal cord injury, it has an impact on the entire family. Parents, in particular, have to quickly learn to navigate the confusing world of medical care, health insurance, caregiving and financial strain when their child is diagnosed with an SCI. And that’s where the BACKBONES PeerConnect program offers a monthly meetup, including their next one on Thurs., March 18th at 4 p.m. PST, offering a space to learn from and support other parents going through the ups and downs that come with spinal cord injuries. You can register for this meetup HERE.

A non-profit organization, BACKBONES helps people with SCI/D and their families connect with their communities by creating events and experiences that promote awareness and engage people of all abilities.
