A new Spanish-speaking SCI/MS support group has been formed and will host its first virtual meeting on Thurs., March 25th from 6-7 p.m. led by SCI survivor, Javier Pulido who will facilitate the group and provide much-needed education and information about spinal cord injury. The topic for the first meeting will be a general information meeting, but will also reinforce the CDC guidelines about COVID-19 and how to plan your vaccine. Participants will also be able to provide suggestions on future topics people are interested in gaining more knowledge on.

The Spanish-speaking Javier is also a Dept. of Rehabilitation counselor and a proud dad, giving him an opportunity to share his experiences of parenthood. If you would like to get on the contact list for this support group, please send an email to Gina.X.Biter-Mundt@kp.org so that you’d receive meeting announcements. If you know of anyone who might benefit from receiving this information, especially anyone who prefers their information be provided in Spanish, this is the group to get connected with.
