NorCal SCI’s second SCI Virtual Consultation of the year was held on Sat., Aug. 14th where five individuals with SCI in Northern California met with a team of clinicians with decades of experience working with the SCI population and helped address various challenges and concerns the five individuals brought to their appointments. The program has evolved into a virtual format since the COVID pandemic effectively suspended our in-person SCI Mobile Clinics last year and offers an opportunity for a thorough and concentrated review of one’s challenges to address in one session.

Our team of clinicians, Nurse Practitioner, Rebecca Hummel-Moore, Occupational Therapist, Carole Adler Hughes, Physical Therapist, Erin Hallett, and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Shelley Wood, are all Advisory Board Members of NorCal SCI and together have many decades of experience treating individuals specifically with SCI/D.

We are grateful to these volunteers who aim to serve those with SCI with poor access to experienced clinicians in their communities. Look for our announcement of the next consultation date toward the end of 2021.
