April 18 virtual event to address "adjusting to a new spinal cord injury"

Acquiring a spinal cord injury is life-changing and comes with many unknowns. Regaining independence, adjusting to a wheelchair and making accommodations to your house and car can be overwhelming, just to name a few.  Finding support within the SCI community can be instrumental in recovery and beyond. On Mon., April 18th at 4 p.m. PST, our friends at BACKBONES will be hosting PeerConnect, a live virtual event where they welcome newly injured individuals to join in for a discussion with Nicole, Mike and Shawn who will share their journey of adjusting to their spinal cord injury and answer questions about common experiences that come with being a wheelchair user.
