Accessibility Day at Santa Clara Highlights Resources for the Disability Community

On September 18th, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) hosted its annual Accessibility Day. The event attracted more than 20 vendors and organizations from the area promoting a variety of different products, services, and resources for people with disabilities in the Bay Area.

There were non profits like NorCal SCI, BORP, and Canine Companions for Independence, as well as companies like Permobil and United Access (based in Fremont and offer vehicle modifications) and also local government agencies and organizations.

All in all, it was a great day and a wonderful opportunity to show the SCVMC patients and staff, as well as attendees from the area, that there are numerous available resources for people with disabilities.

We were honored to join and look forward to being a part of the event again next year.
