Sacramento Rehabilitation Hospital, opened in 2023, joins the 10 other major neurological rehab centers in Northern California serving spinal cord injuries

In our efforts to keep the most up to date information available to our community, NorCal SCI regularly updates essential data about the major rehabilitation hospitals in Northern California serving spinal cord injuries.

Knowing how many SCIs each hospital serves as well as their average length of stay (LOS) are important metrics and can be used to compare with national numbers and other hospitals throughout the country. We recently conducted an audit of the 11 major hospitals (Sacramento Rehab Hospital was a new addition as it was established in 2023) and have shared the 2024 numbers on our Rehab Centers page.

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (ranked #7 nationwide in the latest rankings) continues to serve the largest number of SCIs in Northern California. Kaiser Vallejo, UC Davis Rehab, and Leon S. Peters in Fresno are also sites serving an increasing number of SCIs.
