Newly Injured Resource Kits
The NIRK and all of its contents, to be available to the newly injured throughout Northern California
NorCal SCI is excited to announce the launch of our Newly Injured Resource Kits (NIRK)!
The NIRK is replacing our previous Care Package program where we provided newly injured people a backpack full of resources, books, pamphlets, brochures, and useful tools to help them through the many challenges of adjusting to a SCI. Instead of many pages of printed materials and tons of paper, our new NIRK provides all the same information but with links, QR codes, and digital formats for easier access for newly injured people and their families.
Like the old program, the NorCal SCI NIRK will be provided to all 12 major neurological rehab hospitals in Northern California and we will rely on the respective hospital staff members to distribute these appropriately to newly injured SCIs in their care.

The NIRK can be worn around the neck and has multiple compartments to store a phone, wallet, keys and other essential daily needs or clip items to with our branded carabiners.
