Standing Tall: Upright Wheelchair Technology Comes to BORP

BORP will host an in-person Spinal Cord Injury Meetup featuring Upright Mobility in Action, an interactive presentation by Matia Mobility at the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley. The session will cover who upright wheelchairs are designed for, how the technology works, what makes someone a good candidate, and which insurance plans, including VA benefits, may provide coverage.

A demo model will be available on site, and attendees will have the opportunity to try it out while learning how upright mobility can support greater independence and movement at eye level, both indoors and outdoors. Light dinner will be provided, and pre-registration is encouraged.
