Share Your Experience. Shape Better Care.
Have you ever had a urodynamic study and thought, there has to be a better way? A national research team at UTHealth Houston, in collaboration with the Neurogenic Bladder Research Group (NBRG), is inviting people with spinal cord injury to share their experiences and help improve how urodynamic studies (UDS) are performed, interpreted, and experienced. By centering the voices of people with lived experience, this study aims to make UDS more accessible, accurate, and meaningful for the SCI community nationwide.
Individuals with SCI who have previously undergone a urodynamic study are encouraged to participate in a brief, one-time online survey that takes about 15 minutes to complete. The survey will confirm prior UDS experience, and those who have not had a UDS will be automatically excluded.
Participant insights will directly shape future clinical recommendations and the development of free educational resources—including training slides, images, and videos—to improve UDS care for people with SCI. Participation is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential, and participants may receive a $50 e-gift card as a thank-you, with a limited number of spots available.
