The Future of Digital Independence: A Must-See Demo for the SCI Community

Staying connected is everything, but for those with limited hand function, using a tablet or computer can be a major hurdle. We wanted to share an upcoming event that is showcasing a potential "game-changer" for digital access: the AXION Click.

The team at AXION has developed a non-invasive neural headband that allows users to control an iPad using a combination of eye-tracking and brainwave technology. Unlike many of the high-tech interfaces you see in the news today, this system requires no surgery and no implants. It’s a comfortable, wearable alternative designed to translate your intent into action on the screen.

Why this event matters: If you live with limited hand function, you know that the "digital divide" is real. Finding a way to navigate a tablet or computer independently isn't just about convenience—it’s about privacy, career opportunities, and staying connected to the world on your own terms.

This is a rare chance to see a technology designed specifically to bypass physical barriers without the risks of surgery. Whether you are looking for a way to return to work, or simply want to send a text without needing to ask for help, this demonstration offers a look at a solution built for your reality.
