Upcoming Meeting

This month's meeting of the Sonoma-Marin SCI Support Group will be held on Monday, December 16 from 4:00-5:30 pm at Sequoia Senior Solutions, 1372 N. McDowell Blvd., Suite S, Petaluma.

Ernest Wuethrich, Accessibility Program Manager at PM Design Group, Inc. is the featured speaker. He will explain how the ADA and California’s codes work, are enforced, and how to best insure accessibility. Wuethrich is one of the North Bay Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and a Charter Member of the Division of the State Architect’s Access Code Collaborative. Throughout his career, he has gained a wide variety of experience in the design industry and has become an advocate for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

SciTrials.org is a new website designed to provide up-to-date information about spinal cord injury clinical trials.

It enables individuals to: Search via location, injury details, therapies and outcomesFind answers for the most common questions about trialsHave the clinical information distilled into everyday languageApplying quickly and directly to the trials from the web siteSciTrials.org was developed by three non-profit community organizations. According to Barry Munro, one of the developers of the site, “SciTrials.org is making clinical trials easier to access and easier to understand. With the ability to be more engaged and included in clinical trials we believe our community is much better served.” LEARN MORE.

 Mission of the Sonoma-Marin SCI Support GroupTo assist those newly injured with spinal cord injury or disease as well as those who continue to be affected by long-standing disabilities. We meet the third Monday of the month at Sequoia Senior Solutions, 1372 N. McDowell Blvd., Suite S, Petaluma from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. 

We are here to support each other in every way possible by providing useful, up-to-date information about services and products as well as an atmosphere that allows for discussion of personal challenges and solutions to everyday problems.
