A Historic Day: Epidural Stimulation Leads to Stepping
When the idea of epidural stimulation was first introduced, many refused to believe that technology could give rise to effective therapies for paralysis. Any One of Us: New HBO Film About SCI
Any One of Us (TV-PG) is an HBO documentary film chronicling pro mountain biker Paul Basagoitia’s life-changing journey to recovery after sustaining a spinal cord injury.
One slight mistake during his bike's run sent him tumbling down a mountain, resulting in a burst-fracture of his 12th vertebrae and a partially bruised spinal cord that left him with paraplegia.
While recovering from his paralysis, Basagoitia used his camera to record personal videos to document his struggles and triumphs as he made his way from the hospital to rehab, and eventually back home.
The film also features a group of people who are living with spinal cord injuries who talk about the issues Basagoitia and others battle every day, and the hope that inspires them to carry on.

Just Released: Accessible Yoga
This visionary book revolutionizes yoga practice and makes it truly accessible to everyone—in every body, at any age, and in any state of health. Yoga practice has so much to offer us physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, but many of us feel discouraged to practice because we see young, slim, flexible, well, and able-bodied people dominating yoga spaces. Yet yoga is truly a practice for all—conferring enormous benefits to our overall well-being as our bodies change, age, and navigate various health challenges. In this book, the author shares his knowledge by breaking down poses, breathing practices, meditation techniques, and yoga teachings into clearly understandable and practical tools we can use every day, regardless of our limitations or challenges.
