GIVING TO PARADISE: NorCal SCI launches fundraiser for the fire-ravaged community

The biggest wildfire in the history of California started on Nov. 8th and as you’re reading this, firefighters were able to fully contain the fire. But not before the deadliest fire in California’s history also took with it at least 90 precious human lives and over 14,000 homes, memories and belongings of thousands of residents.

While the devastation has affected everyone equally, the losses of medical equipment by the disability community has added an unanticipated strain on the various state and local agencies to help those in need of such equipment. The California Foundation for Independent Living Center (CFILC) is one of the lead organizations best equipped to handle coordination and delivery of such equipment on the ground level. That’s why NorCal SCI is proud to help launch a fundraiser benefitting CFILC’s Richard Devylder Disaster Relief Fund with all the funds going specifically to support those with physical disabilities impacted by the Camp Fires.

Your generous contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of those who must overcome their physical challenges and now must contend with yet another layer of challenges.
