Michelle Hernandez crowned Ms. Wheelchair California 2018
The Ms. Wheelchair California Leadership Institute held its 2018 Ms. Wheelchair California contest on Sat., March 10th and East Bay's Dr. Michelle Hernandez was voted the winner with Krystina Jackson coming in as a first runner-up.
Dr. Hernandez's life story is one of perseverance. She has a degenerative form of rheumatoid arthritis that started at the age of three. She has had over 60 surgeries since then and is also a trained clinical psychologist and disability advocate at city and state levels.
Krystina has been a contributor to NorCal SCI through her "Ability Hacks" video series. She suffered a spinal cord injury in 2002.
