As you're reading this, Dublin's Krystina Jackson, who was crowned Ms. Wheelchair California back in April, is competing at the 47th Annual Ms. Wheelchair America national competition being held in Michigan this whole week.  True, we're a little biased about Krystina, especially since she's also a NorCal SCI Samurai but in her short tenure since she won her title, she's embarked on an ambitious undertaking of advocacy, education and representation to demonstrate to all persons with disabilities, men or women, that anything is possible.

There will be a crowning gala event on Sat., Aug. 4th but until then, all the contestants are participating in a "Leadership Institute" that includes mentoring, workshops and private and public presentations, including their platform speech presentation and on-stage questions.

We wish Krystina all the best and hope that she continues to build upon her accomplishments in life.
