NorCal SCI announces $60,000 in Road To Recovery grants for 2019, awards two grants

Last week, we announced our commitment to allocate a minimum of $60,000 this year toward our Road To Recovery program which provides grants of up to $2,000 for individual without financial means or health insurance coverage to pay for therapy, medical equipment or home modifications.

We’re happy to announce the awarding of our first two grants of the new year to Brandon Murphy and Christopher Thompson, two young men we were fortunate enough to meet at last October’s Abilities Expo. Brandon will use his grant at SCI-FIT in Pleasanton on their Locomat machine while Christopher will be benefitting from many exercise therapy sessions at RISE Paralysis Recovery Center in Walnut Creek.

The $60,000 represents a doubling of our program from last year, made possible by the generosity of our donors and supporters and it is there for those individuals who would meet the requirements. To learn if you would qualify or if you know of someone who might benefit, check out the details HERE.
