Hicklebee's Bookstore in San Jose will host a special presentation of About Us, a book containing a compilation of personal essays from the New York Times written by people with varying disabilities — from spinal cord injury, stroke, Parkinson's Disease, cancer, and others — on Sun., Feb. 23rd at 3 p.m. The book includes a number of essays about living with spinal cord injury, including one titled, "I Use a Wheelchair. And Yes, I'm Your Doctor".

The authors, including East Bay resident and quadriplegic artist and innovator Elizabeth Jameson, along with Catherine Kudlick and other authors, share — some with humor — their wisdom, perseverance, sorrow and frustrations.

The event will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 1205 Pine Ave., San Jose. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased HERE and will include a $5 coupon toward the purchase of About Us.
