Empower SCI's "A Second Chance at Rehabilitation" application deadlines May 15

Empower SCI, a non-profit established to enable individuals with spinal cord injuries to lead happier, more meaningful and more independent lives is seeking participants for its two-week “Virtual Empowerment” summer program running from June 13-26. The experience is a virtual rehabilitation focused on peer mentoring, recreation and education activities for adults with SCI, providing participants with the knowledge, tools, and support that they need to lay the groundwork for a happier, more independent, and more meaningful life.

Social events, education, rehabilitation counseling, and peer mentoring are the cornerstones of this virtual experience. Participants problem-solve their functional mobility and living skills with a specialized staff to optimize independence in their daily lives.

Application deadline is Sat., May 15th and the cost to participate is $300 though scholarships are also available. You can learn more about this program and apply HERE.
