BORP's adaptive kayaking program now taking reservations
The Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) has launched its adaptive kayaking program operating at the Aquatic Park in Berkeley, offering participants the option of using a traditional paddle system or a unique pedal system using arms or legs. BORP is the first program to offer this uniquely designed arm pedaled kayak that is ideal for participants who desire more stability. They also offer the only accessible electric lift and adaptive launch in the Bay Area, making getting in and out of a boat a breeze.
Kayaking will be offered the first and last Saturday afternoon of each month through October. For more information or to make an appointment, please email program manager Leo at cycling@borp.org or call (510) 848-2930.
