Additional sites recruiting candidates for Electrical Spinal Cord Stimulation study to improve hand and arm function

Last week, we reported that researchers at the University of Washington were enrolling more individuals with a cervical spinal cord injury in their electrical spinal cord stimulation designed to improve hand and arm function. And now, an additional 11 sites have been identified in the U.S. and Europe to conduct the same research. Most of the sites are in need of volunteers to participate in the Up-LIFT Study, a single-arm study designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of non-invasive electrical spinal cord stimulation. Participants must be 22-75 years old with injury level between C2-C8 and at least one year out from their injury. If you’re interested in being considered, complete their brief form HERE.

The trials are conducted in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, Vancouver (British Columbia), Toronto (Canada), The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The majority of these sites are recruiting candidates. You can learn more about this study and the specific locations conducting the study HERE.
