Autonomous Electric Vehicle company, Nuro, offers $200 to wheelchair users to test driverless delivery service in San Jose

Mountain View-based Nuro is seeking a group of wheelchair users with limited mobility to test out their Autonomous Electric Vehicle delivery service in San Jose while compensating participants with $200 for a 60-90 minute session which involves taking delivery of a mock order of groceries delivered to a pre-selected AirBnb in San Jose that all participants will need to be located at. This exercise will occur 2-3 times during each person’s session and is designed to assess Nuro’s delivery service and its ease of use for the disability community. Each wheelchair-using participant will go outside the residence of the testing, retrieve the delivery and return to the residence. The study will take place between May 4-6 and participants must be able to be at the San Jose Airbnb location. To learn more and sign up, contact Erin Taylor, Program Coordinator at United Spinal, by e-mail at etaylor@unitedspinal.org. Only 10 participants are needed for this study.
