Franklin Elieh was the beloved co-founder of NorCal SCI, whose enduring legacy and profound impact continue to shape the organization and the spinal cord injury community. After sustaining a spinal cord injury himself, Franklin dedicated his life to advocating for others, supporting cutting-edge research, and ensuring individuals and caregivers had the resources needed to navigate recovery.
He was known for his incredible warmth, vision, and hands-on dedication—personally hosting educational presentations, helping recruit participants for clinical trials, and building a supportive network that transformed lives across Northern California.
Following his passing, NorCal SCI established The Franklin Project in his honor. This flagship grant program directly reflects his passion for recovery by providing newly injured individuals with the fully funded, intensive outpatient rehabilitation and therapeutic support they need to maximize their independence.
